Afternoon Film Series: “The Color Purple” (2023)

Our afternoon film series continues with a showing of the 2023 musical The Color Purple. The film is a musical adaptation of Alice Walker's novel, which tells the story of Celie, an African American woman living in the American South during the early 1900s, and her hardships and triumphs.
