2026 Summer Reading Program

Welcome to the 2026 Program! Lewisboro Library is thrilled to announce your 2026 Summer Reading Program theme: “Unearth a Story”! For 2026, we invite you to embark on a journey of uncovering hidden histories, digging into a good book, or exploring the past. The slogan underscores the joy of discovery that reading brings. It also emphasizes that every person and every community has stories waiting to be found and shared—through books, programs, and local knowledge.
Registration
Register for Summer Reading in one of two ways:
a) Save the date for the Kickoff Party on June 23rd from 3:00 to 4:00.
b) In the Library for those who can’t make the Kickoff.

Tracking
As part of our 2026 Summer Reading program we will be hosting themed programs every week in the children’s room. For children in Kindergarten through 5th grade we have a reading tracker. Please see or contact the children’s librarian, Miss Ally, at apedroza@lewisborolibrary.org. For children entering Kindergarten through Grade 2 we will be tracking their reading by day. Every 5 days of reading earns your child a prize, up to 25 days. For children entering 3rd grade through 5th grade we will be tracking their reading by hour. Every 5 hours earns a prize, up to 25 hours of reading.

Summer Reading Prizes
For children entering Kindergarten through Grade 2 we will be tracking their reading by day. Every 5 days of reading earns your child a prize, up to 25 days. For children entering 3rd grade through 5th grade we will be tracking their reading by hour. Every 5 hours earns a prize, up to 25 hours of reading.

Bingo Board
All summer reading participants are welcome to participate in our Summer Reading Bingo Board. Each child can earn a raffle ticket for each bingo, (5 squares across, up, or down). There is a limit of 5 raffle tickets per child. There will be two raffle winners. The first raffle winner will receive a $15 gift card to Debra Ann’s. The second raffle winner will receive a $30 gift card to Books on the Common. The raffle will be closed for entries on Friday, August 7th and winners will be announced and contacted on Monday, August 10th, 2026.

*Children can earn up to 5 raffle tickets from their Bingo Sheets.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
If you have a child who is not yet in school interested in participating in Summer Reading please ask us about 1000 books before Kindergarten. There will be Summer Prizes for children who read up to 100 books over the summer. Thank you, and enjoy your summer reading!
