Local resident Martha Hunt Handler is an award-winning novelist and passionate environmentalist. Recently chosen as a Barnes and Noble Top Pick, her 2020 novel Winter of the Wolf is described as an exploration in grief, suicide, spiritualism and Inuit culture. Martha has been a long-time advocate for South Salem’s Wolf Conservation Center and is currently Board President. In fact, 100% of her author proceeds from Winter of the Wolf go to support this local non-profit.
Martha will discuss her book, her work as an environmentalist and her dedication to the Wolf Conservation Center. Her presentation will be preceded by a short business meeting.
