We have another great project for those who love to craft – and give back to others in our community!
In the Victorian era, flowers were assigned secret meanings using the “language of flowers” or floriography. Tussie-mussies, or small flower bouquets, were often given to express feelings without having to speak.
We will be making Victorian “tussie-mussies” using doilies, ribbons and paper filled with silk roses and greenery as well as some handmade “truffle roses”. The tussie-mussies will be part of a Valentine gift bag of goodies for Homebound Senior Adults in Lewisboro.
Thank you to Peter Rose for supplying the special treats for our gift bag, and to Priscilla Luckow for donating the supplies.
