Come meet local author Aimee Pokwatka, whose first novel, Self-Portrait With Nothing, was published in October to impressive reviews.
The book tells the story of Forensic Anthropologist Pepper Rafferty, abandoned as an infant on the local veterinarian’s front porch. When she mysteriously inherits property from missing artist Ula Frost, a reclusive painter famous for claiming that her portraits summon doppelgangers from parallel universes, Pepper sets out to discover more about Ula – and parallel universes.
Aimee, who has also had a number of short stories published,
will talk about her book and the writing process. She will also autograph copies of the book, which will be available for sale courtesy of
Books on the Common.
