Afternoon Film Series: “Elvis”

Our afternoon film series continues with a showing of Elvis, another of this year’s Academy Award contenders for best picture.

Elvis is a 2022 biographical drama film written and directed by Baz Luhrmann. It portrays the life of American music icon Elvis Presley, from his childhood to becoming a rock and movie star in the 1950s. It is told from the perspective of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, and focuses prominently on Parker’s financial abuse while managing Presley.
