Usual Suspects Mystery Book Club: “Listen for the Lie”

You’re invited to join The Usual Suspects Book Club, a monthly mystery book club where crime fiction lovers will gather to unravel twisted plots, dissect clever clues, and debate unforgettable suspects. Whether you’re a seasoned sleuth or new to the genre, come connect with fellow lovers of mystery. Led by our Adult Reference Librarian Colleen Oakes, the group usually meets on the fourth Thursday of every month.

Our book selection for June is Listen for the Lie, by Amy Tintera. This mystery thriller follows Lucy as she returns to her hometown after a true-crime podcast decides to investigate the murder of her best friend, Savvy – whose blood Lucy had been found covered in. Lucy is forced to return to the place she vowed never to set foot in again to solve her friend’s murder, even if she might have been the one who did it. We will also be discussing last month’s selection, The Midnight Taxi, by Yosha Gunasekera.
