Read to Kitty

Grades K – 5

School is off this week, so we have invited our friends at Rock n’ Rescue to come back with their feline friends to let children in grades K – 5 practice their reading aloud skills by reading to the kittens – and cuddling them too!

This program helps children develop their reading skills and their sense of compassion. They will learn about animal-savvy behavior and volunteerism. It also provides enrichment for the cats and helps them learn to trust children and adults through calm, positive interactions.

There are three 15-minute time slots available –  4:00 pm, 4:15 pm and 4:30 pm (siblings can share a time slot, so if you are bringing siblings, please only register one.) There will be two kitten corrals, so two families can register per time slot. Please register below for your desired time slot.
