Read to Kitty

Grades K – 5

Our friends at Rock n’ Rescue are coming by with their feline friends to let children in grades K – 5 practice their reading aloud skills by reading to the kittens – and cuddling them too!

This program helps children develop their reading skills and their sense of compassion. They will learn about animal-savvy behavior and volunteerism. It also provides enrichment for the cats and helps them learn to trust children and adults through calm, positive interactions.

There are six 15-minute time slots available, beginning at 11:30, with the last session ending at 1 pm. To register for a time slot, please email Children’s Librarian Marie Nania at [email protected]. (Siblings can share a time slot.)
