Mothers Without Mothers Support Group

October 20 @ 6:30 pm

People holding hands and comforting each other

This group offers a supportive place for mothers who are parenting without a mother—whether because of death, estrangement, absence, or a complicated relationship. Through psycho-education and shared conversation, we will explore how the perinatal period & parenting can activate layers of grief and unresolved attachment wounds.

Together, we will make space to process complicated grief, honor conflicting feelings, and develop greater understanding and compassion for ourselves. Additionally, this group offers an opportunity to be with other mothers who understand the particular experience of navigating parenthood without the mothering we may have hoped for, needed, or lost. This is a space for grief and growth, compassion and connection, and for discovering that you do not have to navigate this version of motherhood alone.

Facilitated by: Christine Mindicino, LCSW-R, LCSW. Christine is a licensed clinical social worker who runs a group psychotherapy practice based in NY. Christine provides individual therapy and specializes in anxiety disorders, traumatic grief, and maternal mental health.
