May 22 @ 7:00 pm

bear cub and adult walking in the woods

Join us for an in-depth look at black bears and how to peacefully co-exist with these large mammals roaming close to our homes. The program will be led by Certified Wildlife Biologist Budd Veverka, Director of Land Management at the Mianus River Gorge in Westchester County. Budd’s long-time study of the species and first-hand experience, along with his outgoing and personable nature make for an educational and enjoyable presentation.

Get an understanding of black bear biology and why black bears are moving into our area. From walking your dog to feeding the birds, learn how to peacefully co-exist with these large charismatic mammals. Discover the research being conducted by Mianus River Gorge and their regional partners in Westchester County.

This program is being presented in conjunction with the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy. Please register below.
