Lewisboro Library Book Group: “The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store”

The Lewisboro Library Book Group usually meets at the Library on the last Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
The book selection for this month is The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store, by James McBride. It is a novel that begins in 1972, with the discovery of a skeleton that unravels the hidden secrets of Chicken Hill, a Pennsylvania neighborhood in the 1930s where Jewish and Black communities coexisted amidst racial tensions.
Books are available through the Westchester Library System and copies are often ordered in advance for members to pick up at the Library. New members are always welcome in this adult, co-ed book group. For more information contact Myrna or Steve Shomstein at (914) 533-2550.
