Hard Headed Comedy Showcase

It’s the return of the “Hard Headed Comedy Showcase!” This event features four stand-up comics – who regularly perform on TV, at festivals and comedy clubs – now performing on the stage of the Library.
Appearing that night are:
Maggie Champagne – Maggie is an actress, comedian, VO artist, writer and producer. She has performed at Standup NY, NYCC, The Stand, Caroline’s and The Comedy Store. She is featured in the Spotify Original The Sketch Factor with Fred Armisen. She recently worked in the films Better Places to Go, Kinda Pregnant, Genie, among others. You can see her on the shows Inside Amy Schumer, Law and Order SVU, FBI and Life and Beth. She is co-founder of Meggie Films and is currently in pre-production of her standup album recording titled Old Mom.
Alex Kollar – Your host for the night, Alex is a native Queens comic now residing in the suburbs of Westchester. Alex talks about family life, kids and marriage, a clean comic who’s not afraid to toe the line on any subject. A regular at Laugh It Up Comedy Club, Alex has opened for Harland Williams, Matt Friend, and Colin Quinn.
Alex Koltchak – Alex is a filmmaker and stand-up comedian, and most recently the writer and performer of Bent Through Glass (Off-Broadway). He performs stand up all over NYC, and is the producer of Holy Hand Grenade Comedy. As a filmmaker he has directed the short films Methods and I: Ayn Rand.
Luz Michelle – Luz is a comedian, producer, host, and the founder of Hard Headed Comedy, through which she has produced and hosted over 250 shows. A Ladies of Laughter winner, Luz has performed at top venues including Caroline’s, Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand, Stand Up NY, City Winery, and New York Comedy Club. Her work has been featured in Medium, BroadwayWorld, Time Out NY, and on Spotify. She’s also the sharp, trusted voice behind “Dear Luz,” a monthly advice column for Connect To Magazine. We are so grateful to Luz for organizing this fundraiser again.
Reserved seating is $45, which includes wine, beer, beverages, light bites and dessert.

That night we will also draw the winner of our Pizza Oven Raffle – enter for a chance to win a gas-fueled 12-inch Ooni pizza oven, and a pizza peel from Kelloggs and Lawrence at no additional cost!
