For Adults and Teens ages 16 and older.
Another important community safety program being held in cooperation with the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps. LVAC is leading this class, which will instruct community members in the proper methods to control active bleeding in an emergency situation using tourniquets, applying direct pressure and wound packing.
Accidents happen in an instant, and getting help for the wounded in a timely manner is critical. STOP THE BLEED brings knowledge of bleeding control to the public, essentially to train bystanders to take life-saving action, if needed, until professional help arrives. The skills you learn in this 90 minute class can help save a life!
Registration is being taken by the Library, but the workshop will be held at LVAC headquarters – because the fake blood can get messy! Please register below. LVAC is located at 777 Route 35 in Cross River.
