National Guard Member instructing audience on Preparedness Training

Be prepared for emergencies and disasters! September is National Preparedness Month. This one-hour program, led by members of the National Guard, will go over the steps you need to take to prepare for an emergency.

The Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any natural or man-made disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies.

Each family that attends will receive one Preparedness Kit shown below (provided at least 45 people register).

Knapsack surrounded by emergency kit contents: flashlight, ice packs, gloves, goggles, duct tape, plastic sheeting

Prior to the presentation, the Lewisboro Office of Emergency Management will be presenting an award to the Lewisboro Regional Emergency Management Person of the Year.

Space is limited to 65 people and registration is required by September 26.  Please register via the NY State Citizen Preparedness site HERE.
