September is National Preparedness Month – a great time to learn how to be prepared for emergencies and disasters! This one-hour program, led by members of the National Guard, will go over the steps you need to take to prepare for an emergency.
The Preparedness Training Program teaches residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any natural or man-made disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and stocking up on emergency supplies. Each family that attends will receive one Preparedness kit (see below.)
Registration has closed for this program, but please call the Library to see if any spots have opened up. (914) 875-9004.
