Come hear author Elisabeth Paling Funk discuss her book The Dutch World of Washington Irving: Knickerbocker’s History of New York and the Hudson Valley Folktales.
Elisabeth will (re)introduce Irving’s Knickerbocker works, with a focus on Irving’s descriptions of Hudson Valley courting customs in The History of New York and “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”
The talk will be followed by Q and A and a book signing. Books are available for purchase at the Katonah Reading Room.
