Afternoon Film: “Pride & Prejudice”

This month we are celebrating the 250th birthday of novelist Jane Austen, by showing the film adaptations of two of her most-loved books. Watch the movie and stay for “Tea” – both the drink and fun tidbits about the film!

This 2005 film adaption of Pride & Prejudice stars Keira Knightly as plucky heroine Elizabeth Bennet, one of five sisters from an English family of landed gentry. The sisters deal with issues of marriage, morality, and misconceptions, as their mother attempts to secure suitable marriages for her daughters. The film also stars Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy.
