Afternoon Film: “One Battle after Another”

It’s awards season, so our film series this month is showcasing two films up for Best Picture this year!

A Golden Globe winner for Best Picture Comedy, One Battle after Another is nominated for 13 academy awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress & Actor, and Best Achievement in Directing. Billed as a black comedy action thriller, the story follows an ex-revolutionary who is forced back into his former combative lifestyle when he and his daughter are pursued by a corrupt military officer.
