Welcome to Lewisboro Library’s Children’s Room! We aim to make the families in our community feel as comfortable and at home in this colorful, bustling space as they would in their own living rooms!
The shelves of the Children’s Room are lined with a robust and diverse collection of books, DVDS, and audiobooks. It is home to the Library’s Parenting Section, as well as two AWE Learning Early Learning Stations™. But while our mission will always be the continued promotion of literacy, we believe strongly in the power of imaginative play as well, and so we offer countless opportunities for creative expression, from puppets and puzzles to our play kitchen and train table. Most days you can expect to find baskets of blocks, Legos and crayons littering almost every surface!
But by far the greatest feature of our Children’s Room is the programming that goes on here! We have something for everyone! There are three weekly story times for Newborns and Toddlers alike, a monthly bilingual music program, STEM programs for preschoolers, introductory tech programs for elementary school kids, as well as crafts, cooking and all sorts of educational endeavors! Take a peek at our calendar and see for yourself!
So stop by to find your next good read, spend time with friends and family, or to try something completely new! We look forward to seeing you!
