This September 8 – September 28, Lewisboro Library is partnering with The Sharing Shelf in recognition of National Diaper Need Awareness Week to collect diapers for babies and young children throughout Westchester.
Diapers are a basic necessity, but for families already struggling with the cost of food, housing, childcare and other essentials, maintaining an adequate supply can be difficult. Clean diapers help keep babies healthy and comfortable, while giving parents and caregivers one less essential expense to worry about.
The need in our community is significant. In 2025, The Sharing Shelf distributed nearly 350,000 diapers to local families. You can help by donating new, unopened packages of diapers, pull-ups and wipes to our September collection. The most needed are sizes: 4, 5, 6 and pull ups.
Drop-off: Lewisboro Library
Collection dates: September 8 – 28
Every package helps provide comfort, dignity and a little more breathing room for a local family.
