Beginning September 4, 2024, the Lewisboro Library resumed Automatic Renewal for items checked out at the Lewisboro Library. This includes eligible items that are part of the Lewisboro Library collection, as well as items from other libraries that are received at Lewisboro to fill a hold. This is being done as a courtesy to our patrons – to extend the borrowing period on eligible items, and hopefully decrease the overdue fines that may accumulate. Items that are NOT eligible for Automatic Renewal are items that have a hold on them, express items, and items that have already been renewed once.
Eligible items will automatically be renewed the day they are due. Patrons who have opted for email notification will receive a notice that the item has been renewed. If the item is not eligible, it will not be renewed, and a “failed attempt” notice will be sent to the patron.
Please note: not all libraries have opted for Automatic Renewal, so if patrons pick up their items at other libraries, Automatic Renewal may not be in effect.
