The Lewisboro Library has two Chromebooks available for lending to valid teen and adult Lewisboro Library card holders. Chromebooks can be used to search the internet or access any of the Google apps such as YouTube, Docs, Sheets, etc. They do not have the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
They can be checked out and used within the Library or checked out for a 3 week period for use at home. They can be renewed once if no one is waiting. WiFi access is required.
A Chromebook can be reserved for a future date by calling us at (914) 875-9004, emailing us at lewisborolibrary@gmail.com or stopping by the Circulation desk.
If the Chromebook is returned late, there is no fee. However, WLS will disable the Chromebook if it is 5-7 days late.
Each loan has the following contents:
- Computer Bag
- Chromebook
- Power Unit
- Mouse
- Instruction Sheet
Chromebooks can be used in Guest Mode or you can add your account if you have a gmail account. If you add your gmail account, you will be asked for your email address. All of your bookmarks will appear and you will be able to access your own printer(s).
