Our local libraries are joining together in a RAPID RESPONSE FOOD DRIVE to support our neighbors affected by SNAP delays.
Full SNAP benefits have been temporarily delayed due to the government shutdown. 1 in 8 people in the U.S. rely on SNAP to buy food.
The Lewisboro, Pound Ridge, Bedford and Katonah libraries are accepting food bank donations during open hours. Non-perishable items only, and please no glass containers, opened or out-of-date items.
All donations will be delivered to Feeding Westchester, the largest Food Bank in Westchester County.
The Food Drive will run through November or continue until SNAP benefits are fully reinstated.
