SUMMARY:Adult Game Night
DESCRIPTION:Come join other adults for an evening of board games\, socializing and strategizing! \nAdult Game Night meets on the third Friday of each month\, from 6 to 9 pm. Registration is required. \nEach session is led by Ryan Oakes\, who will focus on teaching one or two popular games\, depending on the number of people registered. \nIn April we’ll be playing games that will each crown the masters of unusual skills! \nQuacks of Quedlinburg: It’s festival time in Quedlinburg and you are quack doctors — each making your own secret brew by adding ingredients one at a time to prove you are the greatest potion brewer in the land. Take care with what you add\, though\, for a pinch too much of this or that will spoil the whole mixture!\n\nFlamecraft: You are a Flamekeeper\, skilled in the art of conversing with dragons\, placing them in their ideal home and using enchantments to entice them to produce wondrous things. Your reputation will grow as you aid dragons and shopkeepers\, and the Flamekeeper with the best reputation will be the Master of Flamecraft.\nSpace is limited\, please register below. \nIf the program is full\, you can email the Library to be placed on the waitlist. We sometimes get cancellations the day before.

DESCRIPTION:All Ages \nCelebrate National Library Week (April 19 – 25) and all that the Library offers the Community! \nCalling all plushie pals and stuffed superstars! \nEver wonder what happens in the library after the lights go out? Do teddy bears browse the biographies? Do dinosaurs dance in the aisles? \nIn honor of National Library Week\, we are hosting a Magical Stuffie Sleepover\, and your favorite fuzzy friend is invited! \nHow the Adventure Works: \nStep 1. Next\, you’ll leave your stuffie for their “Night at the Library!” \nStep 2: That night\, teen volunteers and librarians will capture photos of your stuffies having a sleepover as they explore the library\, read stories\, and maybe get into a little bit of (gentle) mischief! The stuffies will stay overnight in the library. \nStep 3: Pick up your stuffie anytime after 10 am on Wednesday\, April 22nd. Participants will get a certificate and printed photos of their stuffies enjoying their library overnight! \nPlease register your child below.

SUMMARY:Historical Miniatures: "The Battle of Ridgefield"
DESCRIPTION:For Adults and Teens \nCelebrate National Library Week (April 19 – 25) and all that the Library offers the Community! \nThe Historical Miniatures Gaming Society uses hand painted miniature figures (or toy soldiers) to recreate famous battles from history. \nThe games are challenging\, and promote teamwork\, strategic thinking\, social interaction\, and most importantly\, are just plain fun – all while learning history! \nThis session will cover “The Battle of Ridgefield.” On April 25\, 1777\, British troops landed on Compo Beach in Westport and marched north to Danbury to burn Continental Army supplies. While the American colonial regulars and militia could not reach Danbury in time\, they made a stand in nearby Ridgefield to try and stop the British from returning to their ships. \nCome be a part of this re-creation of the Battle in miniature! \nSpace is limited\, please register below.
