DESCRIPTION:Give back to your Community! This annual event pairs would-be volunteers with local agencies in need of help. A one-stop shop to find out about all the volunteer opportunities in our area. The Fair takes place from 11 am until 1 pm. \nPlease take the time to stop by and speak with representatives of local groups who will have tables at the Library with information on their services and volunteer needs. There are volunteer opportunities for adults AND teens. The Fair is the perfect way for newcomers to discover what the town has to offer\, for retirees to put their skills to work in volunteer positions\, and for families to teach the importance of giving back to others. Set during a single office meeting\, Bull unleashes a rapid-fire battle of wits as three employees spar with jokes\, jabs\, and bullying\, as they await a meeting with their boss to determine who will be laid off. Bartlett’s dialogue crackles with comic timing\, exposing the absurdity of office culture\, team-building buzzwords\, and professional politeness\, even as the stakes escalate. Dark\, daring\, and laugh-out-loud sharp\, Bull is a thrilling satire that proves just how funny – and frightening – the modern workplace can be when winning is everything. \nPresented by Katonah Classic Stage\, Bull features local actors from stage and screen. DESCRIPTION:Our group meets in person on (usually) the third Wednesday of the month during the Lewisboro Senior Adults meeting at the Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church. The church is located at 9 Shady Lane\, South Salem.  All seniors are welcome! \nThis month the group will be discussing The Book Club for Troublesome Women\, by Marie Bostwick. This historical fiction novel is about four suburban housewives in 1960s Virginia who form a secret book club\, inspired by Betty Friedan’s The Feminine Mystique\, leading to their feminist awakening and personal transformations as they navigate societal expectations and find sisterhood. \nThe Library will provide copies of the book to all participants.
