This historical fiction novel is about four suburban housewives in 1960s Virginia who form a secret book club\, inspired by Betty Friedan’s The Feminine Mystique\, leading to their feminist awakening and personal transformations as they navigate societal expectations and find sisterhood. \nThe Library will provide copies of the book to all participants. DESCRIPTION:Come join other adults for an evening of board games\, socializing and strategizing. \nAdult Game Night meets on the third Friday of each month\, from 6 to 9 pm. Registration is required. \nEach session will be led by Ryan Oakes\, who will focus on teaching one to two popular games\, depending on the number of people registered. \nIn March we’ll be playing games that explore nature – “Cascadia” and “Harmonies.” “Cascadia” is a puzzly tile-laying and token-drafting game featuring the habitats and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. In “Harmonies\,” we’ll build landscapes by placing colored tokens and create habitats for your animals. \nSpace is limited\, please register below.
