DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!  \n  \nIt’s BROADWAY on Main Street!  Come kick off the Library’s 2026 concert series with an evening of show tunes from classics to little-known gems. \nThe talented group of performers have been performing Broadway Nights together since 2014. Each has an impressive musical background. \nHeather Mieko Lackey toured with The King and I\, Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story\, and Cats. She is currently the Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Chris Burdick. Barbara Anselmi has many years of experience as a music director/arranger and orchestrator. Her musical\, It Shoulda Been You\, played on Broadway and is now in regional theatres across the country. Heather Villaescusa Haddad is an award-winning cabaret artist\, and has toured with Crazy for You and Guys and Dolls. Jay Haddad is an actor/singer who has appeared in regional productions of Little Shop of Horrors\, Cabaret\, and Merrily we Roll Along. Johnny Hawkins has toured with Jesus Christ Superstar and Cabaret\, and performed as a soloist at venues like The Hollywood Bowl and the Goodspeed Opera House. \n \nReserved seating is $45 per person. Each session will deal with a different topic. “Getting Involved” will focus on Extracurriculars & Leadership. \nThe series is intended to help high school teens establish a personalized roadmap to guide them in the college process. You’ll learn how to make the most of your four years in high school\, setting yourself up for success in college and beyond. Explore the importance of striking a balance between academics and extracurricular activities\, discover effective ways to cope with stress and anxiety\, and uncover the secrets of securing internships\, volunteer opportunities\, and apprenticeships. Prepare yourself for standardized tests\, conduct thorough research on colleges and universities\, and gain the confidence to ace your interviews and make informed decisions. \nThe program is presented in partnership with: Bronxville Public Library\, Greenburgh Public Library\, John C. DESCRIPTION:Grades K – 5. (Siblings share a time slot\, so please only register ONE spot for your FAMILY.)  \nIn this program\, children will read to therapy dogs\, which helps children develop their reading skills and their sense of compassion. They will also learn about animal-savvy behavior and volunteerism. \nThe program will be led by volunteers from ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue). It will take place on the first Thursday of each month. \nThere are four 15-minute time slots available –  4:00 pm\, 4:15 pm\, 4:30 pm and 4:45 pm. Please register by FAMILY. (Siblings share a time slot\, so please only register one spot for your FAMILY.) There will be two therapy dogs\, so two families can register per time slot. \nPlease register below for your desired time slot (the first one is 4 pm\, second is 4:15 pm\, etc). \nSince the time slots are only 15 minutes\, please arrive promptly so you don’t miss any of your time! \nNote: photographs are often taken at our events to post on social media and our website. DESCRIPTION:Give back to your Community! This annual event pairs would-be volunteers with local agencies in need of help. A one-stop shop to find out about all the volunteer opportunities in our area. The Fair takes place from 11 am until 1 pm. \nPlease take the time to stop by and speak with representatives of local groups who will have tables at the Library with information on their services and volunteer needs. There are volunteer opportunities for adults AND teens. The Fair is the perfect way for newcomers to discover what the town has to offer\, for retirees to put their skills to work in volunteer positions\, and for families to teach the importance of giving back to others.
