SUMMARY:Adult Game Night
DESCRIPTION:Come join other adults for an evening of board games\, socializing and strategizing! \nAdult Game Night meets on the third Friday of each month\, from 6 to 9 pm. Registration is required. \nEach session is led by Ryan Oakes\, who will focus on teaching one or two popular games\, depending on the number of people registered. \nIn April we’ll be playing games that will each crown the masters of unusual skills! \nQuacks of Quedlinburg: It’s festival time in Quedlinburg and you are quack doctors — each making your own secret brew by adding ingredients one at a time to prove you are the greatest potion brewer in the land. Take care with what you add\, though\, for a pinch too much of this or that will spoil the whole mixture!\n\nFlamecraft: You are a Flamekeeper\, skilled in the art of conversing with dragons\, placing them in their ideal home and using enchantments to entice them to produce wondrous things. Your reputation will grow as you aid dragons and shopkeepers\, and the Flamekeeper with the best reputation will be the Master of Flamecraft.\nSpace is limited\, please register below. \nIf the program is full\, you can email the Library to be placed on the waitlist. We sometimes get cancellations the day before.

Attend all 12 sessions\, or as many as you are able. Each session will deal with a different topic. “The College Fit” will focus on how to find and evaluate “best-fit” colleges. \nThe series is intended to help high school teens establish a personalized roadmap to guide them in the college process. You’ll learn how to make the most of your four years in high school\, setting yourself up for success in college and beyond. Explore the importance of striking a balance between academics and extracurricular activities\, discover effective ways to cope with stress and anxiety\, and uncover the secrets of securing internships\, volunteer opportunities\, and apprenticeships. This is a time just for you\, to be in community and connection with others who understand. \nThe workshop is led by Grief Coach and Educator\, Barri Leiner Grant\, Founder of The Memory Circle (www.thememorycircle.com) for grief and loss. Barri supports grievers in her work and spent ten years as a caregiver for her father Neil who lived with Alzheimer’s. \nThis prompt and process workshop allows you to be your own story witness\, and helps to process and tend to your experience through writing and discussion. No writing experience necessary. Just bring yourself and your curiosity. \nPlease register below.
