DESCRIPTION:Grades K – 5 \nIn this program\, children will read to therapy dogs\, which helps children develop their reading skills and their sense of compassion. They will also learn about animal-savvy behavior and volunteerism. \nThe program will be led by volunteers from ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue). It will take place on the first Thursday of each month (excluding January\, which is New Year’s Day!) \nThere are four 15-minute time slots available –  4:00 pm\, 4:15 pm\, 4:30 pm and 4:45 pm. (Siblings share a time slot\, so please only register one spot for your FAMILY.) There will be three therapy dogs\, so three families can register per time slot. \nPlease register below for your desired time slot (the first one is 4 pm\, second is 4:15 pm\, etc). \nSince the time slots are only 15 minutes\, please arrive promptly so you don’t miss any of your time! \nNote: photographs are often taken at our events to post on social media and our website. His latest book\, Murder in the Dollhouse: The Jennifer Dulos Story details the nail-biting investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Jennifer Dulos in 2019 and the aftershocks that rattled the nearby suburb of New Canaan\, CT. \nIn 2019\, the quiet suburb of New Canaan\, CT was shocked by the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos\, a mother of five who vanished one morning after dropping her kids off at school. In the wake of her disappearance\, Dulos’s husband and his girlfriend were arrested. He killed himself on the day he was supposed to report to court; she was tried and convicted of conspiracy to commit murder\, despite the fact that to this day Jennifer Dulos has never been found. The girlfriend is currently trying to have her conviction overturned. \nMurder in the Dollhouse is his latest\, but Rich Cohen is also known as the best-selling author of Monsters: The 1985 Chicago Bears and the Wild Heart of Football; The Sun & the Moon & the Rolling Stones; and The Chicago Cubs: Story of a Curse. \n  \nRich’s talk will be followed by a book signing. DESCRIPTION:Via Zoom. For Teens and their Parents. \nTeens and parents won’t want to miss the first in this 12-part series led by Anjanie Narine\, author of Destination College: A Four-Year Plan for High School Students. Attend all 12 sessions\, or as many as you are able. Each session will deal with a different topic. “Charting Your College Journey” will cover orientation and goal setting. \nThe series is intended to help high school teens establish a personalized roadmap to guide them in the college process. You’ll learn how to make the most of your four years in high school\, setting yourself up for success in college and beyond. Explore the importance of striking a balance between academics and extracurricular activities\, discover effective ways to cope with stress and anxiety\, and uncover the secrets of securing internships\, volunteer opportunities\, and apprenticeships. Prepare yourself for standardized tests\, conduct thorough research on colleges and universities\, and gain the confidence to ace your interviews and make informed decisions. \nThe program is presented in partnership with: Bronxville Public Library\, Greenburgh Public Library\, John C.
