DESCRIPTION:For Teens in Grades 6-12 \nAs the new school year begins\, it’s a great time to join our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at the Library\, and our Banned Book Club! \nTAB meets monthly to discuss ideas for teen programs at the Library. Come have some snacks and help plan our year! Joining TAB is a great way to get involved in the community – an important factor in college applications! \nThis month for our Banned Book Club\, we’ll be reading the 2017 young adult novel The Hate U Give\, by Angie Thomas. The novel follows Starr Carter\, a 16-year-old African-American girl\, and explores systemic racism\, police brutality\, and identity. \nNo registration required.
