DESCRIPTION:For infants through age 4\, accompanied by a caregiver. \nJoin Miss Ally in the Children’s Room on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays\, Thursdays & Fridays for Family Storytime\, where we’ll be reading books\, singing songs\, and playing with scarves\, shakers and other props – activities meant to be both fun and promote development. \nNo registration required. Weather permitting\, Storytime will be held outside on the Library lawn! \nNote: photographs are often taken at our events to post on social media and our website. Please let the event leader know if you would prefer your child not be photographed.

SUMMARY:Read to Kitty
DESCRIPTION:Grades K – 5 \nOur friends at Rock n’ Rescue are coming back with their feline friends to let children in grades K – 5 practice their reading aloud skills by reading to the kittens – and cuddling them too! \nThis program helps children develop their reading skills and their sense of compassion. They will learn about animal-savvy behavior and volunteerism. It also provides enrichment for the cats and helps them learn to trust children and adults through calm\, positive interactions. \nThere are three 15-minute time slots available –  1:00 pm\, 1:15 pm\, and 1:30 pm (siblings share a time slot\, so if you are bringing siblings\, please only register one person.) There will be two kitten playpens\, so two families can register per time slot. Please register below for your desired time slot. \nPlease arrive promptly for your scheduled time slot email the Library to be place on the wait list – info@lewisborolibrary.org.
