DESCRIPTION:For Parents and Teens. \nWe are offering this update to our Zoom presentation for families on how the college admissions landscape is changing due to COVID-19 and what impact it will have on rising Seniors\, Juniors and Sophomores. \nThe college admissions process is undergoing significant and lasting changes as many colleges and universities have gone test optional. \nThis means that admissions officers will give more weight to college essays\, extracurricular activities\, teacher recommendations and community service projects when they review applications as part of the holistic review process. \nThis program covers how admissions officers are handling the current situation and how students can position themselves to develop a compelling narrative to stand out and increase their chances for admission. \n\n\nThe presentation will be led by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper of Stand Out For College\, LLC. \nPlease RSVP to ron@standoutforcollege.com. DESCRIPTION:Via Zoom. For Adults\, but Teens welcome. \nZentangle is an unplanned\, abstract drawing created with simple structured patterns called tangles.  There is no up or down and it is not a picture of something. It is a type of drawing meditation that provides a point of focus as well as to calm and provide relaxation by drawing repetitive patterns. Zentangles are focused\, purposeful\, and let you redirect your thoughts to a better place. Local artist and educator Sam Kanner will lead this exercise in creating Zentangles. The only supplies you will need from your home is a piece of paper and markers. \nThis program is currently full\, but a few people often cancel a day or two before.
