DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Lewisboro Library’s inaugural Mahjong Tournament to benefit the Library! \nEnjoy the play\, prizes\, party-like atmosphere – and yummy refreshments. \nBring your 2026 Mahjong card\, and a Mahjong set if you have one. Arrival time is 6 pm for check-in\, the games begin at 6:30. \nSpace is limited\, players must register in advance \nReserved seats are $45 per player. The best way to reserve seating is to gather four players\, and then have one person purchase seats for the group. (This guarantees you being seated together\, and helps us in setting up the rooms before everyone arrives). This is a time just for you\, to be in community and connection with others who understand. \nThe gathering is led by Grief Coach and Educator\, Barri Leiner Grant\, Founder of The Memory Circle (www.thememorycircle.com) for grief and loss. Barri supports grievers in her work and spent ten years as a caregiver for her father Neil who lived with Alzheimer’s. \nBarri encourages attendees to express their feelings and take notice of the beauty in the world through guided writing prompts. As one attendee wrote: “I was intimidated about getting my thoughts and feelings on paper\, especially around caregiving. Barri put me at ease with her warmth and honesty. Through guiding prompts and poems I wrote simply and clearly about my feelings. I left with new ideas for connecting with myself and bringing clarity to the challenges I face as a caregiver.
