SUMMARY:Caregivers Circle
DESCRIPTION:This monthly\, one hour gathering is for those who are caring for and supporting a loved one alongside an illness or aging\, or perhaps have recently lost someone. This is a time just for you\, to be in community and connection with others who understand. \nThe gathering is led by Grief Coach and Educator\, Barri Leiner Grant\, Founder of The Memory Circle (www.thememorycircle.com) for grief and loss. Barri supports grievers in her work and spent ten years as a caregiver for her father Neil who lived with Alzheimer’s. \nBarri encourages attendees to express their feelings and take notice of the beauty in the world through guided writing prompts. As one attendee wrote: “I was intimidated about getting my thoughts and feelings on paper\, especially around caregiving. Barri put me at ease with her warmth and honesty. Through guiding prompts and poems I wrote simply and clearly about my feelings. I left with new ideas for connecting with myself and bringing clarity to the challenges I face as a caregiver. I can’t wait for the next session!” \nNo writing experience necessary. Please register below.

DESCRIPTION:Are you a mahjong player? A group of experienced players meets weekly Tuesdays at 1 pm at the Library. \nTheir roster is currently full\, but the number can vary with the season. Interested players should send an email to info@lewisborolibrary.org to be placed on the wait list. \nThere is always room in the Thursday evening session\, which meets at 6 pm. That is a mixed-level gathering\, with many newer players who have taken “Mahjong for Beginners” at the Library.
