SUMMARY:Guided Foraging Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come learn which wild plants and fungi are edible\, poisonous\, or just plain cool – right around Lewisboro! \nIn this interactive\, hands-on walk led by local foraging instructor\, Heather Flournoy\, we’ll explore leaves\, flowers\, roots\, bark and fungi of our area. Discover what we can learn to use for our own pantry\, apothecary or art supplies. She’ll discuss identification techniques\, resources\, ethics\, and foraging safety. She will give a brief introduction inside the Library\, and then lead a walk along nearby roads and fields. \nHeather is founder of Wild Nearby\, and is an avid foraging\, wild herbalism\, self-reliance\, and foraging-with-horses teacher.  She leads a monthly Foray & Potluck\, gives lectures and leads foraging walks in the greater NYC area.
