DESCRIPTION:Do you know how to spot the signs of a stroke and what to do next? \nStroke is a leading cause of death for Americans and a major contributor to serious long-term disability. But here’s the hopeful part: according to the American Stroke Association\, up to 80% of strokes are preventable\, and immediate action can make the difference between full recovery and lasting damage. A stroke doesn’t have to be a life sentence – when recognized quickly\, a full recovery is possible. Every second counts. \nJoin Dr. David Zuckerberg\, Medical Director of the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC)\, Vista Fire Department\, and the Pound Ridge Ambulance Corps\, for an essential\, eye-opening workshop on stroke awareness. \nYou’ll learn: \n\nThe different types of strokes\, and why they matter\nThe early warning signs that should never be ignored\nHow quick action by bystanders can save lives and dramatically improve outcomes\n\nBring your questions!
