DESCRIPTION:Join us in welcoming local author Fiona Davis for an in-person Author Talk at the Library! \nFiona Davis is the New York Times bestselling author of six historical fiction novels set in iconic New York City buildings\, including The Magnolia Palace\, The Address\, and The Lions of Fifth Avenue. She has spent the better part of a decade mining hidden histories of iconic New York City buildings\, skillfully using each setting to illuminate the experiences of women. Her new release\, The Magnolia Palace\, is a tantalizing historical novel about the secrets\, betrayal\, and murder within the Frick\, one of New York City’s most impressive Gilded Age mansions. \nFiona’s presentation will be followed by a book signing. DESCRIPTION:Via Zoom. \nDr. Jeff Sebo\, an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at NYU\, works primarily in bioethics\, animal ethics\, and environmental ethics. He has been leading the conversation about the impacts of human behavior on animals and the environment for years. His latest book is Saving Animals\, Saving Ourselves: Why Animals Matter for Pandemics\, Climate Change and other Catastrophes.
