DESCRIPTION:The Lewisboro Garden Club is hosting this presentation by landscape architect Lisa Turoczi\, owner of Earth Tones Native Plant Nursery in Woodbury CT.\n\n\n\n\n\nLisa has worked in the Landscape Design business for nearly 20 years. After finding it difficult to source native plant material\, she and her husband Kyle created their own Native Plant Nursery. Most of the plant material offered at the nursery has been grown from locally collected seed sources.  \nEarth Tones\, LLC is a 100% native plant nursery that offers grasses\, ferns\, perennials\, shrubs and trees that are native to New England. They also provide landscape design\, installation\, and consultation services as well as storm water management and wetland enhancements\, all with a focus on environmentally sound practices.  \n\n\n\n\n\nSpace is limited and registration is required. Please register below. This event is currently scheduled to take place in person. If rising COVID numbers cause restrictions on indoor gatherings\, the program will be virtual and we will send you the Zoom link.

For Teens & Parents.\n \nWe are offering this Zoom presentation to help families understand how COVID-19 has changed the college admissions landscape and how it will affect Juniors\, Sophomores and Freshmen. \nThis recent college admissions cycle has turned out to be the most competitive to date. As most colleges go test-optional and increase their virtual outreach to high school students\, a record number of candidates are applying. With record high numbers of applications come record low acceptance rates at many popular colleges and universities. \nAdmissions officers are giving greater consideration to extracurricular activities\, since most students will have had a year or more of grades earned during remote/hybrid learning\, which will carry less weight when applications are reviewed.
