DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Library Week (April 19 – 25) and all that the Library offers the Community! \nThis marks the beginning of our monthly\, one hour prompt-led workshop for those who are caring for and supporting a loved one alongside an illness\, diagnosis or aging. This is a time just for you\, to be in community and connection with others who understand. \nThe workshop is led by Grief Coach and Educator\, Barri Leiner Grant\, Founder of The Memory Circle (www.thememorycircle.com) for grief and loss. Barri supports grievers in her work and spent ten years as a caregiver for her father Neil who lived with Alzheimer’s. \nThis prompt and process workshop allows you to be your own story witness\, and helps to process and tend to your experience through writing and discussion. No writing experience necessary. Just bring yourself and your curiosity. \nPlease register below.

DESCRIPTION:Are you a mahjong player? A group of experienced players meets weekly Tuesdays at 1 pm at the Library. \nTheir roster is currently full\, but the number can vary with the season. Interested players should send an email to info@lewisborolibrary.org to be placed on the wait list. \nThere is always room in the Thursday evening session\, which meets at 6 pm. That is a mixed-level gathering\, with many newer players who have taken “Mahjong for Beginners” at the Library. DESCRIPTION:All Ages \nCelebrate National Library Week (April 19 – 25) and all that the Library offers the Community! \nCalling all plushie pals and stuffed superstars! \nEver wonder what happens in the library after the lights go out? Do teddy bears browse the biographies? Do dinosaurs dance in the aisles? \nIn honor of National Library Week\, we are hosting a Magical Stuffie Sleepover\, and your favorite fuzzy friend is invited! \nHow the Adventure Works: \nStep 1. Wear your pajamas and drop off your bravest stuffie with our Children and Teen librarians on Tuesday\, 4/21\, from 4:00-5:30 during our Magical Stuffie Sleepover Party! \nWe’ll help them “check in” and make a special name tag for the night! Then we’ll have hot chocolate and sleepover stories read by our teen volunteers and librarians for kids and stuffies alike! Next\, you’ll leave your stuffie for their “Night at the Library!” \nStep 2: That night\, teen volunteers and librarians will capture photos of your stuffies having a sleepover as they explore the library\, read stories\, and maybe get into a little bit of (gentle) mischief! The stuffies will stay overnight in the library. \nStep 3: Pick up your stuffie anytime after 10 am on Wednesday\, April 22nd. Participants will get a certificate and printed photos of their stuffies enjoying their library overnight! \nPlease register your child below.
