This gripping historical mystery is inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard\, a renowned 18th-century midwife who investigates a shocking murder that unhinges her small community. \nThe Library will provide copies of the book to all participants. DESCRIPTION:The Lewisboro Library Book Group meets at the Library on the last Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. \nThis month the group will be discussing the Small Mercies by Dennis Lehane. The novel is set in Boston in summer 1974\, during the tense days approaching the start of the school year at the height of the Boston busing crisis\, when the city’s desegregation of its public schools exploded in violence. \nBooks are available through the Westchester Library System and copies are often ordered in advance for members to pick up at the Library.
