DESCRIPTION:For parents\, and teens entering their Junior/Senior year of High School \nHave a teen headed to college in the next few years? \n30 years ago\, there were no American colleges that accepted less than 10% of their applicants. Today\, over 30 accept less than 10%\, and dozens more accept below 15%. International applicants are taking up a larger and larger percentage of those spots. Moreover\, kids are applying to more and more schools\, so there is no reason to believe those numbers will get any less scary in the future. \nKeith Berman\, President of Options for College\, has worked in the Harvard and Yale admissions offices and has been advising schools and students since 2005 in private practice. His talk will look at the state of admissions\, discussing how his advisees emerged successful\, and looking at how to get some “Return on Investment” out of tuition. \nHe will also share what the process looks and feels like as a parent\, having had a daughter survive and thrive through the most competitive year in admissions history\, providing tips on how to support your children without letting applications consume you. \nPlease register below.
