LEWISBORO LIBRARY FAIR - Saturday, September 22, 2018

10 am - 4 pm  Onatru Farm Town Park

99 Elmwood Road, South Salem, NY

The 58th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held rain or shine, on Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 4 pm at Onatru Farm Town Park. The Fair highlight is the Book Sale, but it also features “Attic Treasures” and Toy sales, food, Battle of the Bakers, music, car show, kids’ games and local vendors. The Book and Sporting Equipment Pre-Sale is Thursday, September 20 from 5 to 9 pm. The Book Pre-Sale continues Friday, September 21 from 9 am to 5 pm. The After-Sale is Sunday, September 23 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Volunteers Needed - The Fair is our major fundraiser for the year. To help the Fair run smoothly WE NEED VOLUNTEERS both before and on Fair Day.

  • If you are available to help collect books, toys, or attic treasures at Onatru Farm on Saturday mornings in August or September 8, please volunteer here: Volunteer

  • If you are available to work at the Pre-Sales, After-Sale or doing set-up, please volunteer here: Volunteer.

  • If you are available to work the day of the Fair, please choose your volunteer area here: Volunteer

Vendor /Community Groups - Do you have a small business selling jewelry, crafts, home services, etc.? Showcase your business at this popular Fair! The Library Fair has a limited number of vendor spaces for $80. Spaces are also available free of charge to non-profit community organizations. Vendor and Community Group applications are available at the Library, or via download here - VENDOR APPLICATION  or here COMMUNITY GROUP APPLICATION. For more info contact lisawickersham@ymail.com.

Be a Fair Sponsor - The Library needs the support of local businesses and individuals to underwrite the costs of producing the Fair, such as tent rentals, food and music, so more proceeds can go directly to the operating budget. If you are interested in being a named sponsor, please call Cindy Rubino at 875-9004.

Battle of the Bakers - We are looking for cooks of all ages to enter the Fair's Battle of the Bakers. The theme this year is Autumn Pies, so dig up your favorite family recipe and enter the Battle! Click the "Register Here" button for more information and to register your entry -  Register Here

Donation Days – MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Donations of books, toys and items for the Attic Treasures Tag Sale will be accepted every Saturday in August and on September 8. Donations can be dropped off at Onatru Farm from 10 am to noon on these days only. Please do not bring to Library - we have no storage space.

Books: must be in good condition (i.e. no mildew). No condensed books, text books, encyclopedias, small paperbacks or magazines.

Toys: items like gently used games, dolls, dress-up clothes, action figures, complete puzzles, ride-on toys, playhouses. No stuffed animals.

Attic Treasures: we are seeking gently used furniture, bicycles, artwork, kitchen and sports equipment. Items MUST be in working condition. The Library Fair is truly a community event, and we so appreciate the efforts of all the local organizations that provide services and manpower to make it happen. We also rely heavily on individual volunteers who devote endless hours – many of them year after year - to the organization and execution of this wonderful affair. You are shining examples of what makes this community so special.

Thanks to everyone who volunteers and all who attend, helping to make this a great day for our Library!
