The Lewisboro Library began construction on its long-awaited expansion and renovation project on April 2, 2014. The building project is expected to take approximately twelve months to complete. While our building undergoes renovation and expansion, the library is operating out of temporary quarters at the South Salem Presbyterian Church, located at 111 Spring Street in South Salem.

During the construction period be sure to visit us at our temporary location to attend programs, use the computers and WiFi, browse our revolving collection of materials and pick up items ordered through the library system. Weekly story hours will continue as scheduled and special events and programs will take place on a more limited basis. We’ve already scheduled programs for the April school recess, and have adult programs slated to begin in late April as well.

The Friends of the Lewisboro Library is looking for more members. The  Friends, who meet once a month, provide and encourage volunteer services from the community and supplement financial support for library programs and services. Any questions can be directed to: FriendsLewLib@gmail.com.

Library Email Newsletter

The Library has a monthly email newsletter to keep patrons informed of upcoming programs. To sign up for the service, send an email to lewisborolibrary@gmail.com.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet access is available at the Lewisboro Library.  We invite you to explore our high-speed Internet access using your own wireless-enabled laptop or pda. In order to connect, your computer must have a WiFi-compatible network card installed (802.11b or 802.11g).  We also recommend a charged battery, as electrical outlets are limited. Wireless users agree to abide by the library policy on wireless use of the Internet. A copy of this policy can be found at the Circulation Desk. For detailed information, please refer to the Wireless Configuration Information sheet available at the Circulation Desk.

PIN Required to Access Library Account

Library patrons are required to log-in to the online library catalog using their library card number and a personalized identification number (PIN) before viewing information about their account or to place a hold. By default, your PIN is the last 4 digits of the phone number registered on your library card account. After logging-in for the first time, library patrons should change their PIN to something that is easy to remember, but that only they will know.
